Industrial Sludge Dewatering
Process and wastewater sludge dewatering, with the filtration cycle matched to the sludge chemistry.
Plate-and-frame dewatering for construction and industrial slurry.
Sized from your filtration test: plate size, chamber depth and cycle time follow the slurry, not a catalogue.

The chamber press is the workhorse of slurry dewatering: a stack of recessed plates pressed together by a hydraulic closing unit, fed with conditioned slurry until the chambers fill with cake.
DELIAN sizes the press from three numbers — the solids the slurry carries, the volume you have to move per shift, and the dry solids the cake has to reach. Everything else (plate size, chamber depth, filter cloth, automation level) follows from those.
Plate size, chamber depth and cycle time are chosen from your solids and throughput, not from a stock list.
Corrosion-resistant wetted parts for bentonite and construction slurry.
Plates and cloths can be changed without dismantling the closing unit.
Hydraulic power pack, control cabinet and walkway arrive as one tested assembly.
For low-throughput sites or where the press runs a short shift.
Motorised plate shifting with local control of the cycle.
Programmed sequence for continuous operation and one-man plants.
Press, pump, dosing and control room inside a sea container for quick site moves.
Membrane plates on the same frame where higher dry solids are needed.
Cloth washing, drip trays and bunded skid for urban sites.
Typical range for this class of equipment — the figures for your unit are fixed in the quotation.
| Filter plate size | 1000 × 1000 mm · 1250 × 1250 mm on request |
|---|---|
| Chamber depth | 25 – 40 mm |
| Filtration area | 10 – 250 m² |
| Cake volume | 0.5 – 4.5 m³ per cycle |
| Filtration pressure | 0.6 – 1.6 MPa |
| Cake thickness | 25 – 40 mm |
| Hydraulic pressure | 25 – 30 MPa |
| Closing force | up to 2500 kN |
| Feed pump | Duty/standby centrifugal or screw pump |
| Installed power | 7.5 – 30 kW |
| Weight (empty) | 4 – 22 t |
| Footprint | roughly 5 × 2 m per unit |
| Filter cake | Discharged to a skip or conveyor; dry solids depend on the slurry and the cycle. |
| Filtrate | Clear enough to return to the slurry tank; the reuse point sets the clarity target. |
From the filtration test: we need the solids concentration, the particle size distribution and the volume per shift. The plate size follows from the cake volume.
Yes. Bentonite needs conditioning before filtration, and the wetted parts are specified for it.
A level foundation or skid, three-phase power, water for cloth washing and a place to put the cake.
